MSNBC host Keith Olbermann has responded sharply to an explosive dossier from Olivia Nuzzi’s ex alleging that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. he wanted to “possess”, “control” and “impregnate” her.
Olbermann, who met Nuzzi a decade ago when she was 21 and he was 55, responded to X in the New York Post story Tuesday night about the claims with “the same” and shrug emojis.
In the new filing, Ryan Lizza said his ex-fiancée Nuzzi described RFK as a “70-year-old ‘sex addict'” who told her he wanted to “possess,” “control.” She went on to say that the affair was “toxic, unhealthy, psychotic, vulnerable” and claimed that RFK Jr. had manipulated her because of the “gross disparity of power,” he claimed in the documents judge filed in Washington, DC Supreme Court last week.
Nuzzi’s team has disputed Lizza’s and RFK Jr.’s claims. denied that the documents were an accurate account of their sexting attempt.
The TV personality, who hosts the Countdown with Keith Olbermann podcast, had been tweeting about Nuzzi but not mentioning they were dating until The Post contacted her last month.
He previously said the May-December couple had a “surprisingly ordinary” life together, even having a dog together – as well as tattoos.
Nuzzi — the New York magazine star’s Washington correspondent — reportedly began having sex with Kennedy shortly after she profiled the then-independent presidential candidate in the magazine last year.
Sources claim she was the stalker, despite other reports claiming the fling started after Kennedy grabbed her hand while walking for the profile piece.Â
She allegedly sent Kennedy’s progeny “naked bats” and the two even had “unbelievable” sex over FaceTime, a source exclusively told Page Six — with Nuzzi relaying that Kennedy’s sexual stamina was impressive.
Kennedy has previously said he and Nuzzi have only met once.
In the latest filing between the angry exes — which came in response to a no-contact order Nuzzi filed against Lizza, in which she claims he harassed and blackmailed her into dating and hacked her devices, Lizza painted his ex-fiancée as a lost and heartbroken lover who desperately tried to save their engagement after he dumped her.Â
Lizza, 50, also claimed it wasn’t the first time Nuzzi cheated on her – previously jeopardizing a joint book deal over an affair in 2020.
He said he broke off their engagement in August after confronting Nuzzi, 31, when he learned she had moved on with RFK Jr. for nearly a year, according to the filing.
Lizza, Politico’s chief Washington correspondent, who is currently on leave from the wildly popular Playbook newsletter, denied that he disclosed the affair to her editor or the press and denied her allegations of hacking, claiming that All he learned about the affair with Kennedy — who is married to actress Cheryl Hines — came from Nuzzi’s tearful admissions as she tried to get back together with him, according to the filing.
